British Foreign Secretary David Cameron met with the leaders of unrecognized Kosovo in Pristina. This was reported by Press release British Foreign Office.

“The United Kingdom is proud of its long-term support for Kosovo’s sovereignty and independence. We have an important role to play in maintaining stability in the Western Balkans to ensure that past conflicts do not flare up again,” Cameron said ahead of his visit to Pristina.

In Kosovo, Cameron plans to meet with his colleague Donica Gervala, as well as visit the British military base in Kosovo. There is a contingent of 200 British soldiers serving as peacekeepers in the unrecognized republic.

Before that, US officials will send Dozens of soldiers from the Iowa National Guard are in Kosovo as part of a NATO mission.
