The wPolityce.pl portal has already informed several times about the decisions of Adam Bodnar, who as Attorney General took over cases from the Regional Prosecutor’s Office and the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw regarding the illegal takeover of public media. Researchers submitted requests to the court for assurance about changes at state-owned media companies. Now Adam Bodnar has ordered that the investigators’ conclusions be retracted to the court. Bodnar thus openly took one side of this complicated conflict. However, one wonders why he ordered the withdrawal of the applications to the court? Has he come to understand that he is participating in the dirty game of his political leaders?

Only in the case of civil cases – four registered by the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office and one registered by the Warsaw Regional Prosecutor’s Office – related to submitted requests to secure the registration of changes in public media in the National Court Register, The Prosecutor General has primarily undertaken supervisory activities by taking note of the activities of the Public Prosecution Service in these cases – which remains within his powers
— we read in the Ministry of Justice’s response to questions from the wPolityce.pl portal.
In all cases, the Attorney General has informed the competent courts of his involvement in the proceedings. In none of the cases did the Prosecutor General personally take any prosecution action, and only in the case registered by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw did he order the National Prosecutor to withdraw the submitted requests.
– informs Mrs.
The actions of the Attorney General in these cases are motivated by the public interest. They only apply to civil matters. Cases in the field of civil or administrative law, in which the prosecutor acts as an entity with the rights of a party and performs postulative acts, are matters that may fall under the responsibility of the Attorney General, similar to the filing of an appeal in cassation , a complaint to the Constitutional Court or an extraordinary complaint. This in no way means that the Attorney General interferes with the independence of prosecutors conducting prosecution proceedings
— the Ministry of Justice explains its decision and refers to the legal powers of the minister.
One wonders why the Attorney General ordered the National Public Prosecutor’s Office to withdraw the requests for security from the courts? This is very confusing. The villages were intended to legally protect the public media from their unauthorized and illegal takeover. He thus ‘secured’ the legal order. It is clear that the Attorney General openly supports the illegal actions of Minister Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz. If Adam Bodnar took over the cases of the Regional Public Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, why is he ordering the National Public Prosecutor’s Office to withdraw the applications? Or perhaps he was afraid of his decision to take over the business?
