A religious lesson at school is something unthinkable for the new team of the Ministry of National Education, so they limit it and just wait until the next step is to remove crosses from educational institutions. But a rainbow flag at school? Deputy Minister Katarzyna Lubnauer has no problem with that, and is even almost happy with the idea. “Every student should feel good at a Polish school,” she said on Radio Zet.
Religion intervenes. There are no more rainbow flags at school
On Radio Zet, the new deputy head of the Ministry of National Education spoke eagerly about plans to limit religious lessons. The interviewer also quoted a question from the listener, but in a disgusting way.
“You demand the removal of religious symbols from schools, claiming that schools are no place for such symbols. So are you also against the rainbow flag, which… Well… someone wrote here, which for him is a “symbol of LGBT ideology”. Let’s not go overboard with this LGBT ideology
– the journalist read and added her own comments, and Deputy Minister Lubnauer laughed mockingly at the question.
The editor himself responded to this question, let’s move on to something sensible…
– she said, completely ignoring the problem! The journalist has already asked whether Lubnauer “is not against hanging rainbow flags in schools.” You can guess the answer, because we are talking about rainbows after all!
Absolute. If young people organize Rainbow Friday on their own, I don’t know, and also want to have a rainbow flag there and they feel good, if they think that everyone at school should be treated the same, then I think I have done that, nothing against
– she said.
I believe it is very important that young people also have some autonomy in the way the school functions and, most importantly, the school should be a place where every student feels good, regardless of their sexual orientation, religion, regardless of which family they come from. comes. . Every student should feel good at a Polish school
– she continued. Everyone, I think, except the believer?
Psychologist at school? This is where the stairs started
When it came to religion, and especially Rainbow Fridays, the Deputy Minister was clearly animated. This enthusiasm faded when asked about a specific topic. When is there a permanent psychologist at school?
Theoretically, the law says it should already be there. The problem is that… Extra money along these lines for psychologist and teacher positions, mostly part-time positions, and not full-time positions in smaller schools, is available. The only problem is that there are no takers
– she explained.
The pay is too low…
– the interviewer intervened.
What was the first decision of the new government, that is, the government of Donald Tusk? About increasing teacher salaries by 30%. They go on the same teacher card. If we want people who want to work at school, we have to pay decently
– said Lubnauer.
However, the journalist noted that there was still no specific answer to this question! What’s left for Lubnauer? The deputy minister somehow blamed local governments.
However, let there be no doubt about it. We were aware that local authorities might have a problem with this, because teachers’ salaries had fallen to such a level that a novice teacher, and therefore a psychologist who came to school, also earned PLN 90 more than the minimum wage . Currently, after this increase, teacher pay is clearly decoupled from the minimum wage
– she added.
The new team likes to talk about ideological ideas. But is it worse with details? And she wanted to rule so badly.
