Krzysztof Szczucki, PiS MP, spoke on Radio Three about the attack on the public media. “The conflict in the public media is one of the most important issues for Law and Justice at many levels,” the politician emphasized. The MP also answered the question of whether PiS would organize more demonstrations, in addition to the demonstration planned for January 11.
The conflict in the public media is one of the most important issues for Law and Justice, on many levels. First and foremost, from my point of view as a lawyer, this is an attack on the law, the Constitution and the rule of law. (…) The decision of the Minister of Culture is illegal. We warn against Polish television and Polish radio becoming involved in mono broadcasting
– he emphasized Krzysztof Szczucki.
The PiS MP drew attention to the responsibility of Culture Minister Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz for illegal activities.
There is a criminal-legal layer and the Public Prosecution Service has the power to file charges and bring an indictment to court, and I hope that this will happen, also with regard to the decision to liquidate, an even worse decision, even more illegal than the illegal. She is worthy of political responsibility. A vote of no confidence is an opportunity to debate political responsibility. We would like to point out all the sins and mistakes of Colonel Sienkiewicz and the government in which he sits
– he said.
The MP invited people to the ‘Protest of the Free Poles’, a protest against the actions of the current authorities, organized by PiS on January 11. Will there be more such manifestations?
It is not yet possible to say what it will be like. There will certainly be more of these manifestations in the future, there will be more of them, but whether it will be a series or not, we will see how the dynamics of political life will develop. We simply will not agree to such actions, illegal actions
– Szczucki noted.

“I see no room for criminal liability for Jan Pietrzak or Telewizja Republika.
The PiS MP referred to satirist Jan Pietrzak’s words about Germany’s problems with illegal migration, which were spoken on Telewizja Republika. His statement caused a storm.
I don’t like this statement. I believe that even if you want to raise something fundamental and protest against something, you should not refer to the tragedy that the Germans inflicted on Poles, Jews and other nations, but at the same time I want to say one thing. A negative assessment of this statement may not translate into the involvement of the Public Prosecution Service or any legal liability. I see no room here for criminal liability for Mr. Jan Pietrzak or Telewizja Republika
– he pointed out.

Telewizja Republika is currently benefiting from media freedom and I think that the fact that its position is growing can also cause fear among those who – as I said at the beginning of our broadcast – would like to lead to such a media monopower in Poland.
– he said.
