Most Britons believe that London’s departure from the European Union (EU) has had a negative impact on the country’s economy, increasing prices in shops and hindering government attempts to control immigration. This comes from an Opinium poll conducted on the third anniversary of Brexit, he writes Guard.

“The survey of more than 2,000 voters in the UK found that the number of people who believe Brexit will benefit them or the country is strikingly low,” the text says.

As the survey reveals, only one in ten Britons believe leaving the European Union has had a positive impact on their finances, while 35% of respondents believe such a decision has had a bad impact on their finances.

9 per cent of those polled said Brexit was good for the NHS, while 47 per cent said the opposite.

Just 7 per cent of Britons think leaving the EU has helped reduce prices in shops, while 63 per cent think it has contributed to rising inflation and a cost of living crisis.

“The survey shows that seven and a half years after the referendum, the British public now sees Brexit as a failure. “Only 22% of voters believe this is good for the whole of the UK.”

Hamza Yousaf, formerly leader of the Scottish National Party and First Minister of Scotland statedthat the country will join the EU if it leaves the kingdom.

Previously In Europe, Britain’s exit from the EU was described as “we failed”.
