Without taking into account the position of President Andrzej Duda, the Chairman of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, has decided to terminate the mandates of MPs Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik. There were attempts to hand over the documents to the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration and his former deputy during a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Administration and Internal Affairs, which made KO MP Roman Giertych, who is being prosecuted, very cheerful . The parliamentarians did not adopt the resolutions.
Giertych publishes the recording of the assignment
At the Administrative Committee, Mr Wąsik and Mr Kamiński received the decision of the President of the Sejm confirming the expiry of their mandates. They refused to receive the documents, which does not detract from the effectiveness of the action
– Roman Giertych, an MP from the Civic Coalition, wrote on Platform X and included a recording of the entire situation.
At one point, the director of the office of the Chairman of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, Stanisław Zakrzyczymski, entered the room where the committee was working. On the orders of the Marshal, he tried – as Maria Janyska, Vice-President of KAISW, emphasized – to hand over to Wąsik and Kamiński the decisions stipulating that immunity would lapse.
The MPs refused to accept the documents.
Lawyer Giertych, who shares the commission’s recording with undisguised satisfaction, is himself being persecuted and has therefore probably been outside Poland for a number of years – including most of this year’s election campaign. On Wiejska 4/6/8 he appeared alone at the opening session of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of the 10th term. Previously, he did not even show up to receive the certificate of election as an MP.

The case of Wąsik and Kamiński
Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia ignored the position of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, who repeatedly emphasized that the act of clemency applied in 2015 against Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik remains in force.
On December 20, the District Court in Warsaw issued a final sentence of two years in prison for Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik, and one year in prison for the other two former heads of the CBA for operational activities during the “land scandal”. . On December 21, Hołownia issued a decision to allow the parliamentary mandates of the former head and deputy head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administrative Affairs to expire.
The lawyer for the convicted PiS MPs wants the proceedings to be stopped, citing the presidential act of clemency, Radio Zet reports.

Marshal Hołownia apparently decided to show PiS MPs that “now, f…, we”, and therefore decided to hand over the documents at such a moment. It is a shame that this is so different from the campaign statements and announcements from the first days of the Sejm’s current term.
