great escape
Stanisław Janecki, in the article “The Great Escape”, analyzes the changes that have taken place in Polish politics. He noted that the Civic Coalition, Third Way and New Left will try to maintain close cooperation in the upcoming local and European elections. Janecki also believes that these three political forces will support a common candidate in the second round of the presidential elections. As we read, Tusk’s government will currently try to present itself as the one that distributes money to the citizens and does not take it away.
For the next six months, the ruling party will be the party of St. Mikołaja, which ignored Leszek Balcerowicz’s advice at all costs. This means that the first half of 2024 will be characterized by populism and the continuation of ‘handing out’, but it will be a different, ‘good’ version. Donald Tusk has already announced the implementation of the ‘800+’ program from January 2024, as if he had conceived this proposal and passed it through Parliament and obtained the signature of the President, although this is thanks to the government of Mateusz Morawiecki
– we are reading. We also learn from the article that this will be a time of great mobilization of forces for PiS.
According to the publicist, Donald Tusk’s coalition will try to hide its slavish attitude towards Germany.
Only this makes no sense, because Germany will be in an increasingly poor economic situation by 2024 and it is assumed that, among other things, money from Poland (originally EU funds for our country and the funds that flowed as a result of the “optimization” of taxes ) will save them. There is little chance that Tusk’s government will oppose this, which will affect the state of Poland’s economy and finances. Probably just as negative as before 2016. Prof. Piotr Grochmalski, a security expert, believes (in an interview with the portal wPolityce.pl) that “Germans have done the thing of the century by pumping Donald Tusk’s election campaign through their media and lying to Polish society to dramatic consequences to make a certain choice. implications. These consequences are irreversible losses for the Polish state
– concludes Janecki.
Man with a pentagram
Konrad Kołodziejski, in the article “Man with a Pentagram”, addresses the topic of the beliefs expressed by people who declare that they have no connection with the Church. As an example he mentions Marcin Józefaciuk, a member of parliament from the Civic Coalition. His trademark is tattoos, which got him noticed and started his career. The publicist informs:
He introduced himself as a pagan and, feeling a missionary calling, began to talk about his beliefs. It’s no coincidence that his first tattoo was a pentagram. This sign is most often identified with Satanism, but its devilish powers are also used by others, for example, followers of the Wiccan religion, of which our hero is one.
The author explains that the Old English word means “wicca.” sorcerer, but the neo-pagan religion defined by this word is not old at all, as it was invented in the 1930s by the English occultist Gerald B. Gardner. […] Wicca worships nature, symbolized by two gods: a goddess and a horned god, usually depicted as a goat. […] some Wikka followers outright call their horned god Lucifer.
Kołodziejski adds However, Józefaciuk does not admit that he worships the devil. As he says, he prays to the mountain forest, the animals, the big boulders and the small stones. The author adds: Of course, you can assume that Józefaciuk is an innocent freak looking for attention. However, you can also look at it differently and assume that Józefaciuk’s appearance in the Sejm is not an ordinary accident at work, but yet another harbinger of dechristianization..
Cows with masks
In the article “Cows with masks”, Aleksandra Rybińska discusses activities aimed at reducing methane production by livestock. To explain:
Farm animals produce methane when their stomachs break down grass, for example during digestion. The gas is released through the animals’ mouth and anus. According to climate scientists, methane has an 84 times greater impact on global warming than carbon dioxide.
The journalist points out that Canada has already taken the first steps. She is part of the so-called global commitment to reduce methane, announced in 2021. It was signed by more than 100 countries that committed to reducing emissions of this gas by 30%. by 2030. New Zealand also belongs to the pact: But while other countries focus on plugging leaks from oil fields and natural gas pipelines, New Zealand is focusing on methane produced by microbes in the digestive tracts of farm animals. […]. In 2019, then Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s government introduced regulations to reduce biogenic methane emissions (from both animals and waste) by 2030. […].
Rybińska also describes the situation in Europe:
The European Commission planned to include farms with more than 150 animals under the new regulation, which would mean they would be considered ‘industrial’ and therefore forced to spend large sums of money on obtaining permits. That did not happen, but that does not mean that regulations will not be tightened in the future […]. Critics note that animal emissions account for only 9%. global emissions […].
