Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has warned of the possible consequences of Donald Trump being elected US president next year. This was reported by TASS.
According to him, while he is ready to work with Trump again if he is elected prime minister, Trump’s victory in the elections could harm Canada’s and other countries’ efforts to combat climate change.
He also emphasized that working with the United States “is always a challenge,” regardless of the country’s leader.
Trudeau in November expressed Concerns about the rise of right-wing rhetoric in the United States and Europe are affecting support for Ukraine. According to him, the MAGA movement (Trump’s Make America Great Again movement, translated into Russian – “Let’s make America great again.” – socialbites.ca) and politicians and parties across Europe “are starting to stop supporting Ukraine .” Trudeau noted that many right-wing politicians in the United States and Europe “have begun echoing Russian disinformation and propaganda.”
