Former US President Donald Trump invited President Joe Biden to host a round of ten debates ahead of the US presidential election. About Trump stated in an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt.

The host asked whether Trump would be willing to participate in a hypothetical debate with the current American president.

“Oh, am I going to look forward to this? How about 10 rounds? How about discussing it 10 times?” – Trump suggested.

But US presidential candidates can decline debates if they feel they are at a disadvantage in terms of electoral support; just like Donald Trump has done with other potential candidates of the Republican Party.

According to a journalist for The New York Times, the requirements of Article 3 of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution are “far from clear” and if Trump does not participate in the vote, this could put democracy at even greater risk.
