Błoński: PiS MPs “make work difficult”
The so-called parliamentary intervention, or rather an action aimed at making the work of the company’s new authorities more difficult, has been going on with varying intensity since Wednesday. This causes limitations, but does not hinder its operation. The Board of Directors works and fulfills its duties consistently, even today. It is certainly a difficult situation, especially for the Agency’s employees, who work in a very uncomfortable atmosphere
– says the nominee, min. Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz.
Changes in PAP
Marek Błoński dismissed PAP editor-in-chief Cezary Bielakowski and his two deputies: Tomasz Grodecki and Radosław Gil. He temporarily took over the duties of editor-in-chief.
PAP’s new board of directors started work at the Agency’s headquarters on December 20, a day after being appointed by the Supervisory Board in the composition chosen by the company’s general meeting, the Polish Press Agency. Yesterday, President Błoński fully agreed that “in accordance with art. 8 section 2 of the PAP Act, he was not appointed as President of the Agency” and all he could think about was leaving the PAP headquarters in a taxi. Today, if he changes his mind about himself, he calls it ‘consistent performance of his duties’. The only people who disturb him in his work are PiS MPs who defend the provisions of the PAP law.
