In Poland, television, radio and the PAP news agency will become independent again. Supervisory boards and management must leave – to the dismay of PiS – writes the German weekly “Die Zeit”. The newspaper did not even mention the illegality of these actions.
On the contrary, it welcomes the decision of the new government of “pro-European Prime Minister Donald Tusk” to fire “the entire management of the public media.”
According to the Ministry of Culture in Warsaw, the directors and supervisory boards of TVP, Polskie Radio and PAP must now resign from their positions. New supervisory boards have already been established that will elect new directors

According to “Zeit”, the Ministry of Culture took this step based on a resolution of the Sejm, according to which the impartial character of the public media should be restored, which, according to the newspaper, had been a transmission belt of the previous PiS government for years.…
