Wagenknecht said, “We are not waging an economic war against Russia, we are waging an economic war against ourselves,” and noted that Russia has found new markets for its energy resources.
According to the MP, Germany’s sanctions actions have led to a huge increase in energy costs and therefore worsened the lives of ordinary citizens and the competitiveness of German industry.
Addressing the issue of the conflict in Ukraine, Wagenknecht said that the West should rely on negotiations, as many countries in the global South have done for a long time.
“Otherwise Ukraine will be destroyed even more,” he warned.
