Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said at a press conference in Geneva that Switzerland’s neutral status raises questions because it is not always confirmed by actions. This was reported by TASS.
According to Vershinin, Switzerland has been declaring its neutral status for many years, so representations of international organizations, including the UN, are concentrated in Geneva. Moscow believes that Geneva’s responsibilities as a set of international organizations include ensuring access to them by all participants.
“Unfortunately, by participating in a series of sanctions decisions against Russia, Switzerland is being dragged by its actions in a direction that cannot be described as completely neutral,” the diplomat said.
Before that Vershinin aforementionedThat the United Nations (UN) and other international organizations should assess the situation in the new Russian territory.
