Turkish opposition lost thousands of people in one day 21:51

İyi Party’s Diyarbakır Provincial Chairman Vezdin Ensarioğlu said that approximately 13 thousand people left the party on December 16.

Ensarioğlu wrote on the social network

The party, which has been giving mediocre results due to participation in elections within the coalition since the end of May, has been shaken by resignations and scandals.

While the coalition was disbanded after the presidential and parliamentary elections, İYİ Party Chairman Meral Akşener announced that she no longer intended to enter into alliances and that she would participate in the municipal elections to be held on March 31 on her own.

New opposition leader Özgür Özel tried to persuade him but failed. Afterwards, criticism rained down on Akşener.

According to official data as of November, İyi Party has more than 617 thousand members and ranks third in the country with this indicator.

Before this, there were members from the opposition İyi Party in the Turkish Grand National Assembly Foreign Affairs Commission. in the name Abandoning consideration of Sweden’s application for NATO membership.
