The Committee on Envelope Elections will invite former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and former Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin to a hearing, MP Dariusz Joński (KO), member of the committee, announced. It would be good to invite Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński – he added on RMF radio on Friday. What about Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska?
Who would Joński want to track down for the committee?
I would like before the holidays to hold a meeting of the Investigative Committee to examine the legality, regularity and desirability of the actions taken in preparation and implementation of the 2020 elections for the President of the Republic of Poland in the form of correspondence vote – PAP), in which we decide which documents to request. (…) I would like the first names and specific dates and times to appear before the holidays, next Friday (…) when the witnesses will appear in the Sejm for questioning. I think the first auditions will be in January, around mid-January
– said Joński, who, according to media reports, will become chairman of this investigative committee.
When a journalist asked him for the names of the people the committee would call for questioning, he replied:
Of course, Prime Minister Morawiecki will certainly be there, because he was the one who made the decisions, and Deputy Prime Minister Sasin will certainly be there. Of course, it would be good to invite Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński, who said in 2021 that he was the one who personally made decisions on this issue.
He confirmed that the heads of Poczta Polska and the National Security Printing Works will also appear before the committee.
This list can be very long because there may be many people who have broken the law
– added.
There are no sacred cows, everyone who is invited (…) must appear before this committee
– he said. But what is the problem if Jacek Sasin himself were to openly declare that he would appear before the committee?
