Almost half of the residents of Ukraine’s front-line regions supported the establishment of peace, the abandonment of territories occupied by Russia and security guarantees from the West. This follows from data from a survey of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
Thus, 46% of Ukrainians surveyed in the south of the country and 47% in the east accept the end of the military conflict. In total, for Ukraine this figure is 32%.
At the same time, the majority of respondents (58%) were in favor of continuing hostilities, despite the fact that the West has significantly reduced support for the Ukrainian state and there is a risk of losing new territories.
