Donald Tusk’s program speech in the Sejm was not without humorous accents. The president of the Civic Platform vowed against changes in the EU that were harmful to Poland. He was answered by an outburst of laughter from the delegates in the plenary hall.
Donald Tusk’s statement in the Sejm aroused many emotions among the parliamentarians, including some amusement.
The leader of the Civic Coalition has included in one of the points of the political program of his cabinet the assurance that no one will be able to mislead him or use him for external purposes in foreign policy, especially with regard to structural changes in the European Union . . Unexpectedly, Donald Tusk promised that as head of government he would reject any changes in the EU that would affect Poland’s sovereignty.
I can reassure you. No maneuvers, no attempts at games, no attempts to change treaties that are against our interests – there is no such thing. I have watched your efforts and inaction in the European Union and in all foreign policies. I want to tell you that no one can really beat me in the European Union
– said Donald Tusk while making his statement.
When Donald Tusk made his promises on foreign policy, the Sejm hall erupted in loud laughter.
