In response to Donald Tusk’s statement, who quoted Piotr Szczęsny’s farewell letter in the Sejm, Mariusz Błaszczak spoke. The head of KP PiS criticized Tusk for “initiating a spiral of hatred” and recalled the letter from the man who committed self-immolation by the Prime Minister’s Chancellery when Donald Tusk was head of government. “Using a suicide note to justify your policies is the meanest thing you can do, you have no scruples; If you had any honesty in yourself, you would quote the letter written to you by the man who set himself on fire in front of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery in 2011. – said the head of the PiS club, Mariusz Błaszczak.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk delivered his statement in the Sejm today. He quoted an excerpt from Piotr Szczęsny’s manifesto, which appeared on the square in October 2017. Defilad in Warsaw set itself on fire in protest against PiS policies.
“Unscrupulous”
In response to Donald Tusk’s statement, the head of the PiS Parliamentary Club, Mariusz Błaszczak, spoke.
We heard a very sharp speech that confirmed all the lies that had been spread over the years. And using a suicide note is the meanest thing you can do. To elevate the suicidal act committed in such circumstances to a heroic act is the basest act imaginable. You have no scruples, but you are also dishonest, because if you had an ounce of honesty in yourself, you would quote a letter addressed to you by a man who set himself on fire in front of the office in 2011, when you were Prime Minister .
– Mariusz Błaszczak stated in the Sejm.
Let me remind you of the contents of this letter: ‘I am writing to you once again as a citizen of this sick country, as a father of three children whose lives have been destroyed by you and your officials. I am writing to you for the last time because I do not believe this will have any effect. However, I want you to know that I counted on you not being a liar and a hypocrite, but a normal person who respects the law and, above all, a father who loves his family. However, I see that the desire for power has destroyed in you all the values and human qualities that you boasted about during the subsequent election campaigns.
– Błaszczak quoted.
““Conglomeration of Hate”
The president of the PiS club accused Donald Tusk of being primarily responsible for fueling negative social emotions for years.
It was you who started the spiral of hatred. Let me remind you of the “mohair berets”, it was you who brought forth Palikot – a symbol of hatred and contempt. (…) Leave mercy to God. You yourself preach hatred and cruelty
– emphasized the PiS politician.
Błaszczak recalled the threats against PiS politicians made over the years by PO politicians and its supporters.
You have caused a vulgarization of politics never seen before in our history, you have fueled the boorishness that disrupts every month the ceremonies commemorating the victims of the Smolensk tragedy. (…) There is nothing sacred to you. PiS politicians have experienced aggression from you for eight years. Including threats of assault. This is no longer an industry of contempt, it is a conglomerate of hate
– noted Błaszczak.
