“Why does everything we know about him bode ill for Poland and Poles?” – asks Marcin Wikło in the new issue of the weekly magazine “Sieci” and summarizes what tasks the government faces and what we can expect from Donald Tusk if he takes over the government.

“Recidivism on the horizon”
What should a good prime minister be like? First of all, he must be a man who will put the affairs of the country in which he serves first and will devote himself entirely to his service. Marcin Wikło, in the article “Recidivism on the horizon”, points out five key areas that seem to be most important in the good performance of the office of Prime Minister and explains why Donald Tusk is not the right person for this position.
Someone who is so uninterested in the economy cannot be a good prime minister. We know from the years 2007–2014 that Donald Tusk does not like these issues and knows nothing about them. (…) One can of course assume that these are things from years ago, that the Polish state is in a different place after two terms of the United Right government, and finally, Tusk himself may be different. However, Janusz Kowalski points out that in this case we run the risk of recidivism, and that the majority coming to power will be an ominous blow to the handling of the CPK’s revolutionary project.
– emphasizes the publicist.
Another important area where the Prime Minister must put Poland’s interests above all else, and especially above his own, is international relations.
Playing games with Russia, flirting with Putin despite his own president, even after the attack on Georgia and the annexation of Crimea, disqualifies both Donald Tusk and his inner circle. And yet they come to power with an almost unchanged composition. The idea of putting Radosław Sikorski back in charge of the Foreign Ministry seems particularly brazen, but Bogdan Klich, Tomasz Siemoniak, Jacek Cichocki and Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz are also on the front row of Polish politics, right next to Tusk.

‘The Platform senator blows windmills’
Piotr Filipczyk refers to the recently famous windmill scandal in the article “The Senator of the Platform blows windmills”. He informed that the case was handled by polskieradio24.pl, which drew attention to the figure of Senator Kazimierz Kleina of the Civic Platform.
In 2009, a former PO senator asked a minister in the PO-PSL government about the public purpose of renewable energy. In response, he heard from ministerial officials that environmental protection is not a basis for recognizing such investments as a public purpose, and that this prevents expropriation. Kleina was an advocate of renewable energy in subsequent years
— this is an excerpt from the material of the portal polskieradio24.pl, which quotes the author.
Filipczyk shared that Kleina was present at the Offshore Wind Poland 2023 conference. “Representatives of companies representing wind farm producers will meet there.” Paulina Hennig-Kloska, MP for Poland 2050, author of amendments intended to allow the construction of wind turbines at a distance of less than 300 meters from buildings, would also participate.
The journalist also remembers events from previous years.
Kazimierz Kleina invited members of the Senate Committee on Budget and Public Finances in 2022 […] for a “study visit” to Łeba. There, politicians met local governments and investors in the field of offshore wind energy. He adds: In June 2023, the Baltic Offshore Wind Farm Information Center in Łeba became operational. Its creation was possible thanks to the involvement of Equinor and Polenergia, in which the dominant shares are held by Mansa Investments – Dominika Kulczyk’s fund, controlled by Kulczyk Investments. Also in June, Equinor signed a cooperation agreement with the Łeba Sailing Club in the field of training young windsurfers. Kazimierz Kleina was of course present at the ceremonial signing
– notes the author.
At the same time, the author points out that Equinor and Polenergia deny that Kazimierz Kleina was in any way involved in investments of companies in Łeba.
“A Story of Political Revenge”
Stanisław Żaryn describes in the text “History of Political Revenge” how, in his opinion, attempts to suppress the so-called land scandal and what led to political attacks on Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik. He recalled that the CBA’s operational activities regarding the illegal practice of land expropriation were very well prepared and that at the beginning there were no signs of subsequent problems.
The special operation of the CBA is proceeding according to the book, the Office has more and more evidence and findings. Everything leads to the finale, which in this case is the controlled giving of bribes.”
– I’m writing.
However, eventually someone began to hinder the activities of the institution that detects corruption. The CBA officers were exposed and the operation was partially unsuccessful.
Żaryn states that during the PO-PSL government a campaign against Kamiński and Wąsik was launched. There have been attempts to suggest that PiS exerted political pressure on the services, including in relation to the land scandal. The columnist states that these revelations have not been confirmed by the investigative committee.
The report of the investigative committee chaired by Andrzej Czuma – then PO MP – clearly indicated that the former head of the CBA “did not take any action that could be assessed as enforcing abuse of power against subordinate officers.”

Moreover, he recalls that the judge who handled the subsequent charges against Kamiński and Wąsik was politically involved in Law and Justice.
