Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Mikhail Popov said that threats to shipping in the Black Sea due to Ukrainian mines will continue for a long time. He made the relevant statement in an interview kp.ru.
“The Americans and their puppets in Kiev have been silent for years about the fact that by their joint actions they have turned the Black Sea basin into an extremely dangerous region for shipping,” said the Deputy Undersecretary of the Security Council.
He noted that this would negatively affect the economy of all countries in the Black Sea region.
As Popov stated, the recent storm in the Black Sea also had an impact on this situation.
“The height of the waves reached nine meters at that time,” he said.
According to the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council, this storm, the strongest in recent decades, shattered explosion networks and most likely dispersed minefields laid by the army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
