Slovak Prime Minister spoke in favor of dialogue with Russia

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated the necessity of dialogue between the republic and Russia. He made the relevant statement while speaking at the National Council. TASS.

As the Prime Minister stated, Slovakia has and will have friendly relations with every state interested in this issue.

“I reject the idea that Russia does not exist. It was, it is and it will be,” Fico said.

In his opinion, after the end of the conflict in Ukraine, “significant standardization in relations with the Russian Federation” should be achieved. Now contacts are reduced to a minimum, as stated by the head of the Slovak Cabinet.

“The (Slovakian) embassy in Moscow and the Russian (diplomatic) mission in Bratislava are completely isolated. They’re not dating anyone,” Fico said.

According to him, this is wrong.

“We need to talk to each other. Without that there will be no progress (in our relations),” the prime minister added.
