The Committee of the European Union has once again refused to consider the draft resolution on amending the treaties and centralizing the EU. The Sejm of the Republic of Poland cannot be a “silent Sejm” in this matter – emphasized Paweł Jabłoński, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the 10th Platform.

Resolution of PiS MPs
This is a draft resolution submitted by PiS to the Sejm about “stopping changes to the Treaty on European Union and the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union that are dangerous for the Republic of Poland.” The project includes: Calling on the government and all Members of the European Parliament to oppose such changes during votes in the Council of the European Union, the European Council and the European Parliament.
Jabłoński emphasized in Thursday’s submission that his group will consistently highlight the activities of the KO, Third Way and Left coalition and demand that “the Sejm of the Republic of Poland should not be a silent Sejm in this matter.”
Poles have the right to know who is defending our country’s sovereignty – and who is acting against Poland’s interests
– added.
On November 22, the European Parliament supported a resolution in support of proposals for changes to the EU treaties. The main changes included in the document include the abandonment of the principle of unanimity in EU Council voting in 65 areas and the transfer of powers from Member State level to EU level. by creating two new exclusive EU competences – in the areas of environmental protection and biodiversity – and by significantly expanding shared competences, which would cover seven new areas: foreign and security policy, border protection, public health, civil protection, industry and education.
