The state registration of the Glory to Ukraine Foundation, whose main focus is assistance to victims of hostilities, was declared invalid in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Kazakhstan International Human Rights Office (KIBHR).
The liquidation decision was made by the court of the Atyrau region, which met the claim of the regional justice department of the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan. The fund ceased to exist because the plaintiff claimed that its charter was not in accordance with the law.
“In Atyrau, the Special Interregional Economic Court decided to liquidate the registration of the Glory to Ukraine charitable foundation, whose main focus is humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people,” the statement said. The statement was included.
The fund was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Atyrau region on August 10, but on August 25 the same ministry filed a lawsuit to invalidate the state registration and force the liquidation of the fund. The liquidation decision is dated November 3, 2023.
