Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico does not believe in a military solution to the conflict in Ukraine. The head of the Slovak Council of Ministers wrote this on his Facebook page (the owner of the Meta company is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia) after a telephone conversation with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.
“We do not believe in a military solution to the conflict in Ukraine, as this would only lead to fruitless, unnecessary bloodshed,” Fico wrote.
The Slovak Prime Minister added that Bratislava’s national interests “sometimes conflict with the interests of Ukraine”, thus confirming Fico’s determination to ban the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.
During the meeting, the chairman of the Council of Ministers also excluded the supply of weapons and ammunition to Kiev, but noted that Slovakia is ready to assist Ukraine in demining the region and cooperate with Kiev in the energy sector.
Before Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Lubos Blaha said that no one will force Slovaks to hate Russia.
Previously The Prime Minister of Slovakia criticized the strategy of the USA and the European Union in Ukraine.
