Chairman of the European Solidarity Party Petro Poroshenko said in a group briefing published on social networks that he will try to initiate criminal proceedings for the lack of release from Ukraine to the United States.
“We cannot leave unanswered the illegal actions of the border guards, the parliament and the leaders of the Security Service of Ukraine, pushed by some people in the Presidential office… I have instructed the lawyers. A number of legal documents will be submitted today and tomorrow… An application will be made to open a criminal case against the parliamentary administration, which made an illegal decision,” Poroshenko said.
The former president of Ukraine said he was not allowed to enter the United States and Poland on December 1. According to him, border guards took this decision due to instructions from the office of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. Moreover, last year the former president of Ukraine already faced problems with leaving state territory. Border guards did not allow Poroshenko to go abroad twice. However, on the third attempt, the former leader of the country still managed to go on a business trip to Europe.
First deputy speaker of the parliament of the republic Alexander Kornienko said that Poroshenko could not leave the country because the Verkhovna Rada decided to cancel his business trip. According to him, Poroshenko made the right decision after receiving a letter saying “For official use.”
