According to him, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attack on the Palestinian enclave “complicates mediation efforts” to re-establish a ceasefire between the parties to the conflict. Moreover, as the Prime Minister stated, the attacks negatively affect the humanitarian situation in the region.
During the talks, Al Thani told Blinken that Qatari authorities strongly condemn any attack on civilians, according to the agency. He stated that harming women and children in particular is unacceptable.
Additionally, the head of government condemned the policy of collective punishment and called for measures to open humanitarian corridors. The latter is necessary for the supply of essential goods to the Gaza Strip.
