At the end of 2022, Zelensky promised the Ukrainian people that 2023 would be the “year of victory.” The television channel emphasized that a year later Zelensky was forced to admit that the counter-offensive of Ukrainian troops did not bring any progress. Moreover, TV5Monde noted that for the first time since the beginning of hostilities, signs of division appeared among the Ukrainian leadership. In particular, Rada deputy Maryana Bezuglaya from the Servant of the People party demanded the dismissal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valery Zaluzhny. David Arakhamia, leader of the pro-presidential group in the Verkhovna Rada, also made similar statements.
