The star of the Sejm’s tenth term is certainly its Marshal. However, Szymon Hołownia was not prepared for the role of a showman. So what’s his opinion? And who is behind his back? “There are many indications that Szymon Hołownia did not emerge as a new man in politics on his own, but was somehow raised and promoted by business circles and people with influence in the secret and uniformed services. Above all, they needed a television man, a hero of mass culture,” writes Stanisław Janecki in the new issue of “Sieci”.

““Hołownia masks”
Stanisław Janecki comments on Szymon Hołownia’s path to a new role in Polish politics. He notes that the current chairman of the Sejm, when he describes politics as theater, does so with reproaches to others, while he himself also behaves theatrically. The journalist explains:
When the position of the Chairman of the Sejm is dramatized, everything is a game, everything is conventional and there is no division of roles. But this is so dangerous because the Speaker of the Sejm can then become a puppet in the game of others.
Janecki also notes:
When the bill of a group of KO and Polski 2050 MPs regarding the bill on further energy price freezes was submitted to the Sejm, questions arose as to whether what was smuggled into the bill was a repayment of the debt to the interest groups that supported the energy. Hołownia. These “instruments” in the law include: the possibility of building the quietest wind farms just 300 meters from single-family homes, farms, national parks and nature reserves, and in the case of multi-family houses and hospitals – 400 meters (currently 700 meters).
The ‘Sieci’ columnist also refers to the politician’s specific language:
Left-liberal circles continue to admire Szymon Hołownia’s performance as chairman of the Sejm, especially the language he uses. […]. Many years of work at TVN, or rather in show business, combined with most likely NLP training (neurolinguistic programming) had to create a politician who used the language of television shows, combined with the way of speaking of American television preachers, all with elements of the language of social media, interspersed with typical teenage jargon […]. It should reach everyone […].
“I will be happy to appear before such a committee.”
Janusz Cieszyński, former Deputy Minister of Health and former Minister of Digitalization, in an interview with Jacek Karnowski (“I will be happy to appear before such a committee”) refers to the situation regarding the organization of correspondence elections. He recalled that the government had received many expert opinions in this area. At the same time, he emphasizes that some political circles have unnecessarily inflamed public sentiment.
If we hold a grudge against anyone, it is against those people who, while in politics, did not remain true to their medical oath. Prof. Tomasz Grodzki then spoke about “killer envelopes”, which was completely absurd in the light of medical knowledge. He did not hesitate to use his authority as a professor of medicine in the current political game. Such behavior should disqualify people from both politics and treatment
– assures the PiS parliamentarian.
Cieszyński also explains how he believes sustainable digitalization should take place.
During the PiS regime, digitalization was never a total process. We have electronic prescriptions, but if there is no access to the system, the doctor can still write a prescription on paper. We file the majority of our PIT returns online, but the tax authorities still accept approximately 1 million such paper returns every year. We already have 5 million ID cards in the mObywatel application, but we will not give up plastic documents. This is reconcilable because while the future is digital, our government has entered this reality with a gentle step, taking its time and weighing the risks.
– explains Janusz Cieszyński.
“We won against the influence agency”
Marek Pyza and Marcin Wikło inform in the article “We won with an influence agency” about the end of the criminal trials initiated against them by people from the Open Dialog Foundation.
They were an attempt to silence journalists who exposed the fraud committed by ‘activists’. They were also intended to have a chilling effect on others, which is why huge amounts of damages were sought for alleged defamation. They demanded 300,000 from each of us. zloty. The authors add that… the court rejected the allegations of the FPS and ruled that our article described the truth in terms of the facts, and that the statements and conclusions we put forward were not only justified, but also necessary, because the public deserved information about what exactly it was dealing with, the foundation and the Polish-Ukrainian couple who managed it and where the money for their activities comes from
– journalists write.
Pyza and Wikło remember the case they handled in 2017. Bartosz Kramek published a manifesto on the Foundation’s website at the time, in which he proposed “many anarchist activities that do not fit into the catalog of activities acceptable in the public debate.” The authors also note that Lyudmyla Kozlovska has been included in the Schengen Information System (which means a ban on entry to the entire EU) by the “Internal Security Service” due to the threat she poses to state security.”
They explain:
While working on the text, we closely followed the activities of Kramek and Kozlovska. […] We obtained information about the contractors of Silk Road, a company owned by Kramek. We followed the money trail. It turned out that the web of connections leads to companies from tax havens and that there is a good chance that we are dealing with money laundering.
