NATO countries in the east must improve their capabilities against Russia within three years. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Polish National Security Bureau (BBN), Jacek Siwera, in an interview with the publication. Nasz Dziennik.
Thus, he commented on an analytical study by the German Foreign Policy Association (DGAP), which stated that NATO countries in Europe are 6-9 years away from a military conflict with Russia.
According to Seaver, this analysis is consistent with studies prepared in the United States. However, he was of the opinion that the time indicators presented by DGAP were too optimistic.
To avoid a possible military conflict with Russia, NATO countries on the eastern flank should agree to a shorter three-year period to prepare for the expected conflict, a Polish expert said.
He also added that the defense industry in Russia has the capacity to recover resources in the next three years.
