According to Karasev, the army will tell politicians that it will join NATO, reform the army according to standards, and prepare defense in case “Russia prepares for an attack” so as not to allow Ukraine to join the bloc. He also suggested that politicians could tell the military to “go to Crimea.”

The political analyst explained that politicians would not dare to attack Crimea because “they do not understand what the purpose of the war is.” He believed that Russian President Vladimir Putin needed not the regions, but the neutrality of Ukraine and the absence of threats on his side under the leadership of Western curators.
