Russian Ambassador to Slovakia Igor Bratchikov discussed with Prime Minister Robert Fico the prospects for developing bilateral relations between the states. This was reported by RIA News referring to Moscow’s diplomatic mission in Bratislava.
According to the agency, the meeting took place on November 30. At the same time, the current state of relations between the Russian Federation and Slovakia and their further development were the main topics of discussion.
“On Thursday, Russian Ambassador Igor Bratchikov was received by the Chairman of the Government of the Slovak Republic, Robert Fico,” the diplomatic mission said.
Before that, the current chairman of the Slovakian Council of Ministers was also statedHe said he held meetings with the ambassadors of the Russian Federation and the United States on November 30. As Fico noted, during the negotiations he informed diplomats about his government’s domestic priorities and pointed out the ineffectiveness of the strategy of the United States and the European Union (EU) regarding the situation in Ukraine.
The Prime Minister also noted the need for Bratislava to prepare for the end of the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, they were talking about Slovakia’s plans to “standardize” interaction with Russia after the end of hostilities.
