One hundred and four pages of the ‘Report of the State Commission for the Study of Russian Influence on the Internal Security of the Republic of Poland in 2007-20022′ will not be reliably summarized by the liberal media. The voters of Tusk’s team must be kept blissfully ignorant of the extent of their political idols’ dilettantism. Yes – dilettantism. There are probably also actors within this political environment, but based on the data published by the Zybertowicz and Cenckiewicz Commission, I put forward the thesis that Janusz Nosek, Tomasz Siemoniak and Donald Tusk forced Poland to compromise cooperation with the FSB because ignorance and lack of knowledge. of understanding political reality, and not because of professional betrayal.
Gatherings that break the law
The Commission established this between officials of the Military Counterintelligence Service and representatives of the Russian FSB There were almost a hundred meetings, of which 87 are undocumented.
The latter means that Nosek or the officers he appointed announced that they were going to meet the Russians, but did not leave the obligatory official note. This is all the more devastating because for example, such meetings intensified at crucial moments in the Smolensk investigation. For example, a meeting with the FSB (Vladimir Juzwik and Jozef Viktorin) took place on January 11, 2011 – a day before the publication of the report on the Smolensk tragedy by General Tatiana Anodina, and then a week after that publication.
What was agreed during the secret talks? We don’t know – and this is an outrageous breach of procedure.
So it’s not just about the signing of an agreement between the head of the National Security Agency, General Stanisław Koziej, and Nikolai Patrushev, it’s not just about Nosek and Pytel drinking vodka with the Russians after taking the caps of the Bolshevik Aurora- crew have worn, but about several dozen meetings, the contents of which we do not know, because basic, elementary and even kindergarten procedures were violated.
Counterintelligence in shorts
At the site of the Smolensk disaster itself, a spectacular display of dilettantism took place. As we read in the report, even the minimum safety standards were not applied to a Polish SKW officer:
No form of identity protection was used and the place of work/service was not hidden (he used a private passport and on the passenger list his name was the name of the institution – SKW).
The Russians immediately knew who was coming to Smolensk and why, making Polish counterintelligence tasks de facto impossible to carry out. Members of the Commission emphasize in the media that Donald Tusk agreed to cooperation in December 2011 without prior consultation with the head of the Ministry of National Defense, Tomasz Siemoniak. However, Siemoniak himself later denounced any cooperation with the Russians – suggesting that the lack of a signature from the head of the Ministry of National Defense was the result of ignoring procedures and not of deliberately breaking the law.
The Ministry of Defense did not know what was going on
Siemoniak was left out of the findings, probably due to ignorance – the report shows (this is not the author’s claim) that the politician simply had no idea what was happening in the field of state security under his control. When a PiS politician asked what these mysterious meetings with the FSB were about, the formal answer was as follows:
State Secretary of the Ministry of National Defense Czesław Mroczek, authorized by Minister Tomasz Siemoniak, stated in a letter to the Chairman of the Sejm, Ewa Kopacz: “Referring directly to the issue raised in the interpellation, I would like inform you that all meetings with representatives of foreign entities that take place in the premises of the Military Counterintelligence Service take place in separate reception rooms, in compliance with security rules.
Today we know that this information from the Department of Defense was untrue.
Just to be clear – Regardless of the motivation of Nosek, Siemoniak and Tusk, they are clearly being blamed for the harmfulness of cooperation with Putin’s services. However, if we examine the reasons for their decisions based on the course of relations between General Nosek’s SKW and General Patrushev’s FSB, it can be concluded that they are not particularly sinister traitors, but only dilettantes.confident, probably proud of their high and important positions, and feel like an authority when they make outrageous and unfounded statements in interviews for “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
What did they learn in Moscow?
An interesting case here is General Stanisław Koziej, who started cooperation with the FSB as head of the National Security Bureau during the presidency of Bronisław Komorowski. Koziej defended his studies several times in Moscow in the late 1980s, assuring that they were regular, international courses, similar to those provided by other alliances such as NATO. This is completely untrue: the KGB governed puppet states (such as the Polish People’s Republic) as inferior partners, more willing to collect hacks than to pass on factual knowledge. But the entire group of generals from the time of Jaruzelski and Tusk do not want to admit that they know as much about Russian servants as Volodya and Grisha told them about vodka. They cannot be charged with the security of a discotheque in a village fire station – not to mention the Polish state. Especially during the Russian invasion of our neighboring country.
