Iran may receive financial aid in exchange for giving up support for Hamas

It is claimed that Saudi Arabia may offer Iran assistance to repair its sanctions-ravaged economy in exchange for the republic’s refusal to support the Palestinian radical movement Hamas. He reports this with reference to sources Bloomberg.

“The offer was made directly and through various means following the Hamas attack on Israel last month and the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip,” according to Arab and Western officials familiar with the matter.

Theses on the subject were expressed at the business meeting held between Saudi Arabian Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in Riyadh, where the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and League of Arab States (LAS) summits were held.

Journalists also say the Arabs are working in parallel with the United States and other Arab countries to prevent Iran from arming its allies in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
