US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met with Argentina’s president-elect Javier Miley in Washington. TASS.
The meeting reportedly discussed the importance of continuing to build a strong economic relationship between the United States and Argentina, supporting human rights and “defending democracy around the world.”
Sullivan congratulated Argentina’s new president on his recent election victory and announced the two countries’ intention to cooperate closely.

Javier Miley heads the Libertarian Party, which is part of the right-wing Freedom Comes alliance. The politician advocates minimal government intervention in life, plans to abolish the Central Bank and proposes replacing the national currency with the dollar. Miley does not intend to develop interstate relations with Brazil, China and Russia due to disagreements about their policies, but she will not prevent private businesses from interacting with these countries.
