The UN General Assembly once again adopted a resolution demanding Israel’s withdrawal from the Golan Heights in Syria RIA News.
During the voting, 91 delegates spoke in support of the decision. Eight states voted against it, and 62 states abstained.
The document states that the world organization is deeply concerned about the failure of Israeli troops to withdraw from the Golan Heights, which was occupied in 1967, in violation of the relevant resolutions of the Security Council and the UN General Assembly.
Earlier, John Kirby, strategic communications coordinator for the White House National Security Council, confirmed that the United States regularly provides advice to Israel regarding military operations in the Gaza Strip.
