US House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson said that aid to Ukraine is a priority for Washington, so the American Congress could approve it before Christmas, that is, before December 25. The portal reports this axios.
According to Johnson, US officials understand the need to provide assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, the speaker emphasized that the main priority of the United States is to provide support to Israel and that American aid is vital for the Jewish state.
Johnson stated that he was optimistic that a new aid package for Ukraine and Israel could be approved before the Christmas holidays.
