“This Sejm began with the establishment of three commissions of inquiry. We are proposing three very good bills,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in the program “Gość Wiadomości” on TVP1.

“I am not proposing a third term for PiS.
Prime Minister Morawiecki was asked about the “Decalogue of Polish Affairs” that he recently presented. Could this proposal be attractive to other political forces?
It can and should be attractive and acceptable to other political options, especially since we have analyzed the programs of other parties and tried to choose what we have in common within our government, which we proposed today. We don’t want a brawl, we don’t want what part of the opposition is planning, that is, revenge and revanchism, because this will be part of the games and the chaos they will cause. I think Poles expect something different
– he emphasized.
However, will there be any will to work together among the opposition parties?
Elections reset a lot. I am not proposing a third term for PiS. Two terms are behind us. Now the Poles have decided that even though we are the winning party, we must have a coalition partner. We propose that through the ‘Decalogue of Polish Affairs’ others join us, and we will join others, so that for the common cause the ‘Coalition of Polish Affairs’ is what unites Poles and gives hope for the future.
– he said.
Why should we just argue? Focus on revenge? This Sejm began with the establishment of three commissions of inquiry. We propose three very good bills
– added.
Several more laws will be ready because the government will be working very intensively. I hope that the Marshal of the Sejm not only wants the Olympic Games, but will also be ready – in accordance with his promise – to throw the freezer out of the Sejm and simply analyze and to vote on it. .
– added.
To the journalist’s comment that Szymon Hołownia’s words to Poles to stock up on popcorn because he thinks “what will happen” do not indicate this, Morawiecki replied: “probably not.”
But (…) I don’t want to believe that this common sense, these good projects will not appeal to all those parliamentarians, including the chairman (of the Sejm – PAP), who want the well-being of Poland, the well-being of Poland, because soon both bakeries and pastry shops, and ordinary Polish families can simply suffer enormously from the increase in energy prices. We propose a law that compensates for this, that eliminates this
– he said.
A new government with a record number of women
I think that ladies, women in our government, including in the Sejm, can not only soften their morals a little, but also look to the future and not focus on what Marshal Szymon Hołownia treated us with in the first days, that is to say: revenge, dintojra, revenge, because this is fuel that will not get us far
– said Morawiecki. As he added:
I advise my political opponents to focus on what is good for the people.
When asked whether the significant participation of women in the new Council of Ministers should be a signal for politicians to take quotas into account, the Prime Minister replied that “we didn’t look at it that way.”
This turned out to be the case when we were looking for people with very high competencies and experience, but also with a lot of energy to act
– said Morawiecki.
We have had a number of discussions and together with the political leadership we have arrived at this cabinet composition. I am happy that these are people who are not only demonstrating what they are capable of now, but regardless of whether our mission is successful now, the seeds we sow now will, I am confident, grow in the future. You don’t always have to immediately reap the benefits of what you do
– pointed to the head of the government.
Morawiecki assured that he believes that people who now have the opportunity to look at government work “will be very valuable employees of ours in the future.”
“‘Prelude to the biggest election fraud’
Morawiecki was also asked about the voices of politicians and experts associated with the Civic Platform who claim that the state of public finances is bad.
This is the prelude to the largest election fraud of the past thirty years. we leave the economy and public finances in excellent condition. The best proof is that we have been able to implement our social policy. (…) PO has made promises in the meantime and is now terrified that it will not be able to keep them. I am not speaking against the parliamentarians of the left, Poland 2050 or PSL. Are you sure you want to participate in the biggest election fraud? Because it will weigh on you. You have a good program, you didn’t promise anything. Why use the PO program where they promised so much that it can’t deliver? That is why they want to convince the Poles that the state of public finances is bad
– explained the Prime Minister.
They don’t care that we are the tiger of Europe, that we are fighting so that we can get as much as possible in Brussels. They want to be a Brussels couch potato, because that’s how it usually was. We fought for what we wanted and that’s why Brussels didn’t like it
– added.
“‘Poland must be a sovereign state’
The conversation also touched on changes to the EU treaties.
We are able to protect ourselves against this. First of all, we would be sure that we could avoid this if there were 231 just people who voted for the Coalition of Polish Affairs, because at the very top of our Decalogue is the most important commandment: “Poland must be a sovereign state . .” (…) It would be a good idea if opposition MPs who have not lost the spirit of Polishness would consider whether it is worth risking the loss of sovereignty. This is something that, unfortunately, history has taught us has happened
– appealed to the Prime Minister.
We will do everything we can to defend Polish sovereignty against the attempts of other countries
– assured Morawiecki.
Morawiecki warns of liquidation of the CBA
When Morawiecki was asked on TVP about plans to liquidate the CBA, he said: “I warn about it and thank the CBA officials for their hard work, as well as other special services, including the Central Bureau of Investigation. To all officers, because they too are part of our success.”
For our dear compatriots, I would like to make the following comparison: fishing is better in troubled waters, if someone really wants to pursue his illegal interests, like the VAT mafia in the time of PO.
– he said.
He also advised looking at the data from the European Commission.
How then the VAT mafia bandits robbed Poland, how several scammers and white-collar bandits in tax havens destroyed the Polish budget without paying taxes
– he emphasized.
I am very afraid that some PO wants to return to that world – the time when in murky waters, without anti-corruption activities, it was very easy to rob all Poles
– he said.
He added that “it was easy then to say: where is this money buried? (…) They were buried in the vaults of various bandits, villains, impostors and fraudsters. With our actions at the Ministry of Finance, we have already defeated these mafias and exposed this money,” the Prime Minister said.
“You have done an excellent job and you continue to do so.”
Morawiecki was also asked about the opposition’s announcements about changes in public media.
Sometimes it seems to me that the Platform is like the Polish United Workers’ Party, which wants to have a recognized opposition. The PZRP also had two “opposition” parties. (…) If such a thing were to happen, it would not only mean an information monopoly directly from the Polish People’s Republic, but also a denial of democracy. (…) Under enormous fire you tried to show a different point of view than Wirtualna Polska, Onet, all major radio stations, all portals or TVN. You were trying to light a certain part of the scene that wasn’t lit. You have done an excellent job and continue to do so. We will try, no matter what role we play, to defend you to the end, because in this way we defend the right to freedom of expression.
– emphasized the Prime Minister.
