27 MPs voted in favor of her election, none opposed and 3 abstained.
During the meeting, three of the Commission’s four Vice-Presidents were elected. The following MPs were: Joanna Frydrych (KO), Jagna Marczulajtis-Walczak (KO) and Urszula Rusecka (PiS). They were elected by joint vote. 31 MPs were in favour.
During the meeting it was requested to keep a fourth position open for the representative of Law and Justice, whose appointment should take place “immediately”. There were no other reports.
The scope of the Commission’s activities includes issues such as shaping the social policy of the state, social problems, social insurance, social benefits, social assistance, municipal housing and problems of the disabled and veterans, as well as issues of labor law, including the protection of employees, working conditions and working conditions. health and safety, equal treatment in the labor market, as well as wage systems and costs of living, the fight against unemployment, the labor market, labor costs, employment and protection of labor rights of Polish citizens in European Union countries, employment of graduates, as well as matters directly arising from the functioning of the family, the fulfillment of its roles and functions and the submission of proposals for legal regulations relating to these issues, as well as matters related to the protection of women’s rights and the guarantee of equal opportunities for them in professional and social life, as well as matters related to compliance with the constitutional principle of equal rights of women and men.
