Great outrage was caused by the arrival of Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadowy, who, referring to the protest of Polish carriers at the border, wrote that “Polish friends must return to reality.” Politicians and journalists responded to his message. But Kaja Godek’s submission, which answered the mayor, was also heavily criticized.

Let us remind you that since November 6, Polish transporters have been protesting at the border crossings with Ukraine in Dorohusk and Hrebenne (Lubelskie Voivodeship) and in Korczowa (Podkarpackie Voivodeship), allowing several cars to pass per hour. The protesters’ demands include: the introduction of commercial permits for Ukrainian companies to transport goods, with the exception of humanitarian aid and supplies for the Ukrainian army; suspension of permits for companies created after the outbreak of war in Ukraine and their inspection. There is also a proposal to eliminate the so-called electronic queue on the Ukrainian side.
Our Polish friends must return to reality
– wrote the mayor of Lviv.
Your entire gigantic contribution to Ukraine’s victory in this war is being canceled out by a group of marginalists who are blocking the delivery of humanitarian supplies to a country that is now for the second year defending its independence and the security of Europe.
– he added in the next message.
A third entry also appeared.
Does Poland have the courage, political will and civilian instruments to end this shameful blockade of Ukraine? the price is too high
– wrote Andriy Sadovy.
The politician’s submissions were responded to.
Mr. Mayor, as a man actively involved in helping the brave Ukraine and the wonderful Ukrainian army, I appeal to you to consider your words and return to reality.
There’s no need to be ashamed, everyone is willing to talk, but conversations require good will on both sides, not just one. Poland reflexively helped you when Russia attacked Ukraine and believed in Ukraine, unlike many Western partners, and in return we get this behavior.
Criticism of Godek’s entry
The Ukrainian politician responded to Kaja Godek, among others. Her entry received harsh criticism from commentators.
Lviv must return to Poland. You received it from the USSR completely wrongly. Just a memory
– wrote Godek.
Her message was answered by, among others: head of the National Security Agency, Jacek Siwiera.
Dear Madam @GodekKajaU; I would like to draw your attention to the fact that any claims presupposing a change of borders, recognized by the international community, are detrimental to the most vital security interests of the Republic of Poland (even if they are made only by private individuals).
– wrote Siwiera.
You should stay away from Twitter and public affairs. For the good of the Republic of Poland.
