Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan should show restraint not to succumb to provocations. He said this while answering citizens’ questions on live broadcast. RIA News.

If necessary, Armenia reacts at the state and unofficial level, he said, answering the question of why Yerevan did not respond to insults and distortions of statements of historical facts by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

According to him, such statements may have provocative purposes to drag Yerevan into “desperate talks” that could result in escalation of tensions.

“We have made it clear that we are on the path to the peace agenda and that we must move towards this goal. “This is not a fact, we are not sure that our environment wants peace, and in a sense, we may need to show more restraint in some places in order not to succumb to provocations,” he said.

The Armenian prime minister added that history is not the best advisor for the future.
