Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the European Union’s (EU) strategy towards the conflict in Ukraine has failed, Russia will not be defeated, therefore a different action plan should be sought. His words guide the way TASS.
Orban reminded that Budapest condemned Moscow’s actions against Ukraine, but the West’s reaction to them was wrong.
According to him, the strategy was that the Ukrainians would fight on the front and win, while the Russians would lose. However, the Hungarian Prime Minister emphasized that the truth turned out to be exactly the opposite.
“What have we come to? Russia will not lose and nothing will change in its policies. That’s why we need to face the truth. “We must move to plan B,” said Orban, noting that the European Union does not currently have such a plan.
The politician stated that it was “completely pointless” for Brussels to continue providing aid to Ukraine instead of reviewing the strategy. Orban believes that a ceasefire should be established immediately and negotiations for a peaceful solution should begin.
