MP Marcin Józefaciuk gave an interview to “Gazeta Wyborcza”. In it, a parliamentarian elected from the KO list complains about, among other things: for Minister of Education and admits to being a neo-pagan.
Józefaciuk received a seat in parliament thanks to his participation in the Łódź list of the Civic Coalition. In the years 2017–2022 he was director of the Craft School Complex. Jan Kiliński in Łódź. And since 2022, he has been deputy director of this facility.
When asked about his tattoos, he admitted that the first one he placed on his body was… a pentagram. When the journalist asked if it was “something related to Satan?” he assured me he didn’t.
I’m a neo-pagan, so Wicca, all that stuff
– he argued.
Józefaciuk also decided to share his observations on the situation in schools. Among other things, he drew attention to: on the issue of meals for students.
In general, we as secondary education feel much inferior. Because all the money goes to primary schools. (…) The left is now talking about free lunches and again it is about primary schools. And the children at the technical school study from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., often in the studios, and they are also hungry, they also want something hot to eat. But no! There aren’t any!
– he said.
I think it’s partly political…
– added.
He also blamed the Minister of Education for this.
We have not had a substantive minister for a long time
– he said.
While commenting on the work of the Minister of Education, he also spoke about his alleged disrespect for teachers.
They’re burned out. Because they’ve been at it for an hour and a half. Next year. They feel a lack of support from above. That the state, in the minister’s sense, does not respect them, says that they should be fired, about 10,000. of these are unnecessary. That they are weaklings. In addition, parents, as specialists in raising their children, instruct them how to do their work. And we are also a group that likes to complain…
– we are reading.
They’re burned out. They are tired. But I think if we subsidize them more, if they stop tutoring after school…
– argues Józefaciuk.
Plans of the KO MP
Józefaciuk believes that through his work as a member of parliament he can influence changes in the education system. According to him, the ‘school community’ should have a greater impact on reality.
At this moment I feel that I have been given the opportunity to change the education system, that is, to create a school where I would like to teach when I return. And here, for example, in addition to what I’ve already said, I would like to have a greater influence from the school community on what their school looks like…
– we are reading.
The new KO MP wants to give more power to the student government.
For example, the student government introduces a veto on all legislative changes that the education council wants to implement. For example, the municipality wants to change the statute so that you are not allowed to wear dresses above the knee, and then the children say: ‘No.’ Well, that’s out of the question. My dream is to finally create a separate Student Ombudsman position…
– argues the KO MP.
