“I hope that the cooperation between President Andrzej Duda and Donald Tusk as Prime Minister is a hypothetical matter. The President has entrusted the mission of forming a government to M. Morawiecki and I hope that it will be possible to create it and that it will receive support in the Sejm,” emphasized Michał Dworczyk (PiS), Minister at the Chancellery from the Prime Minister. , on TVP1.
Dworczyk was asked today in TVP1’s “Political Quarter” about an excerpt of President Duda’s interview for the weekly magazine “Sieci” and the website wPolityce.pl.
The president is on a different side of the political stage than Donald Tusk
In the first step we talk about choosing the presidential candidate for the premiership. I am president, but Donald Tusk is not my candidate for prime minister
– said Andrzej Duda.
President Andrzej Duda shows with his entire life and political experience that he is on a completely different side of the political stage than Donald Tusk. That is why the president, on the one hand, respects the constitution, but on the other hand he honestly says that Donald Tusk is not his candidate.
– said Dworczyk.
As he said, “such coexistence is sometimes difficult, but it is part of democracy.”
““Such a cohabitation is nothing unusual.”
Here it is important to respect the constitution, obey the laws and not take shortcuts. Of course you can worry about listening to the announcements from Donald Tusk’s circle, as will be the case here, but the very functioning – if that were to happen – of a government that has a different political perspective than the president and a such coexistence – is nothing special.
– said Dworczyk.
I hope we’re talking about something completely hypothetical that won’t happen. Currently we are taking the first constitutional step: the President has entrusted the mission of forming a government to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, this will be the third cabinet of Prime Minister Morawiecki and I hope that it will be possible to create this cabinet and that this cabinet will have support get into the Sejm
– he said.
Dworczyk: It is a difficult task, but we have a duty to take it on
He also admitted that “this is an extremely difficult task.”
It may prove impossible, but Prime Minister Morawiecki and we as the United Right Community have a duty to undertake such a task. The votes of more than 7.5 million Poles obliged us to do so
– said Dworczyk.
Morawiecki’s program proposals
On Friday, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki presented a number of program proposals to be implemented by the government he formed during a press conference at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The set of proposals was called the “Decalogue of Polish Affairs”. These include: solutions that ensure stability for small and medium-sized businesses; Poland’s ambitious development and energy security, or higher salaries and development opportunities thanks to the transformation of the economy.
The Prime Minister announced that, in accordance with the task entrusted to him by President Andrzej Duda, he will present the composition of the new government within seven to eight days.
