Donald Tusk referred on the X platform to the interview with President Andrzej Duda, which will be published in the latest issue of the weekly magazine “Sieci”. The conversation between Marzena Nykiel and Marcin Wikła with the head of state is entitled “Donald Tusk is not my candidate for prime minister.”
President Duda in an exclusive interview for “Sieć”
In the interview, which you can read tomorrow in the weekly magazine “Sieci”, the president tells the editor-in-chief of wPolityce.pl, Marzenie Nykiel, and the journalist of “Sieci” and wPolityce.pl, Marcin Wikle, among other things: about why he decided to entrust the mission of forming a government to the current Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, even though the opposition parties won the parliamentary majority.
The representatives of the Civic Coalition, the Left and the Third Way have not convinced me that it is worth giving up the good parliamentary tradition, according to which the victorious group is the first to be given the mission to form a government forms. Under the current Constitution, all presidents, including my predecessors, Presidents Kwaśniewski, Kaczyński and Komorowski, have always entrusted the mission of forming a government to the winning party. This year’s elections were won by Law and Justice
– notes the President.
The interview is entitled “Donald Tusk is not my candidate for Prime Minister”, on the cover there is an abbreviation: “Tusk will not be my Prime Minister”. This first title expresses a fact that is clear to anyone who has been following Polish politics for at least a few years. It is known that both the government and the head of state work better together when everyone comes from the same political environment, and moreover, the president respected the decision of the group of Poles who voted for PiS in the parliamentary elections.
However, before commenting on a statement from an interview, it is a good idea to read the interview. Did Donald Tusk do it?

Tusk “confirms”
It appears that this is not necessarily the case, as X stated in his post on platform
“Tusk will not be my prime minister,” President Duda said. I confirm. I will not.
Mr. Prime Minister, since it bothered you when right-wing politicians referred to Agnieszka Holland’s film before watching it, we encourage you to read the President’s interview before referring to it. Unless you want confrontation from the start?
