We are waiting for the tax-free amount to be increased to PLN 60,000. and for zero credit, which was PO’s election promises. These solutions are very beneficial for the citizens and we will certainly vote for them, former President of the Sejm Elżbieta Witek announced on TVP Info on Wednesday.
In TVP Info, Elżbieta Witek referred to the statement of the new chairman of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, who announced: “There is no place for a parliamentary freezer in my office.”

The opposition submitted many projects, some of which were unconstitutional, for example on gay marriage or abortion, and others that would completely destroy the state budget.
– said Witek. She stressed that “the Marshal of the Sejm should take into account whether the draft laws can be implemented.”
She emphasized that “PiS will be a very close opposition if it joins the opposition.”
We will be very scrupulous and consistent in asking, demanding and demanding the implementation of the announcements made by Donald Tusk and his colleagues during the election campaign. First of all, I am waiting for the tax-free amount to be increased to PLN 60,000. and zero credit. This is what people are waiting for. These are very useful solutions and we will certainly vote for them
– said Witek.
During the election campaign on September 9, the main issues to be addressed by the new government led by the head of the PO, Donald Tusk, were presented at the Civic Coalition Convention in Tarnów.
We are talking about the tax-free amount increased to PLN 60,000. zloty. This specific step, which we will carry out within the first 100 days, means that in Poland every pensioner, every pensioner who has a pension of up to PLN 5,000. PLN will no longer pay income tax, and those with higher pensions will pay this tax, but on a much smaller scale, clearly lower
– Tusk announced it then.
PO’s bluff?
Witek said that “a hundred promises for a hundred days are impossible to fulfill for purely technical reasons.”
Even if we worked non-stop for a hundred days and voted on one bill every day, we still have the Senate, and then it goes back to the Sejm and the president.
– she explained.
The Poles were simply deceived
– she added.
When asked whether PiS would nominate another candidate for the position of deputy chairman of the Sejm, she emphasized that “there will be no other candidate.”
We are a big, serious, winning party and no one will dictate to us who should sit in the Sejm Presidium,” she stressed. She added: “Because I was not elected to the Presidium of the Sejm, 8 million Polish citizens were excluded and told they had no say. This is a very poor prognosis for the future
– she assessed.
She pointed out that, for example, in the case of Włodzimierz Czarzasty, despite doubts about his activities in the PZPR, she “respected the principle that the party appoints the candidate” and voted for him. In the presidium we had three people from the opposition and three people from the ruling party, so there was balance,” Witek noted.
