Stephane Dujarric, the official representative of the President of the United Nations (UN), said that the world organization is against the use of anti-personnel mines anywhere in the world. This was reported by TASS.
He was asked to comment on the Ukrainian side’s use of anti-personnel mines in Izium and Donetsk, in violation of the Ottawa Convention.
Dujarric emphasized that the UN is against the use of anti-personnel mines anywhere.

There is also evidence of the use of anti-personnel mines in Donetsk. According to him, residents there filmed how they collected these mines or set fire to them.
On November 2, a woman was reportedly blown up by a Lepestok mine in Donetsk.
In October, the UN demanded an end to the use of cluster munitions in Ukraine.
