A mass march in support of Palestine began in London. It was reported that thousands of demonstrators took to the streets Weather.
Far-right protesters clashed with police and more than 80 people were detained.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrators as well as counter-demonstrators have taken to the streets of London to stop them, and police are working to prevent the two groups from clashing.
“Security forces said they would use all available force and tactics to stop counter-protesters opposing a large march calling for a ceasefire in Israel’s war against the Hamas group,” Sky News reported.
The action may be the largest since the beginning of the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Organizers believe up to half a million people could attend the demonstration; Sky News reports that hundreds of thousands of people came from the scene.
