There is increasing talk of plans to amend the European Treaties, with Law and Justice politicians warning that such actions will de facto lead to the loss of sovereignty by smaller EU member states.
In an interview with the Polish Press Agency, PiS President Jarosław Kaczyński announced that if the EU tries to change the treaties, the party’s MPs will block ratification in the Sejm.
That requires 2/3 of the votes, and we have 40 percent of the parliamentarians, so we can easily stop it and we will. The pressure must be so strong that the government cannot agree to it
