Crimean State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet said that Ukraine’s plans to become a member of the European Union have been suspended RIA News.
He believes that this country has no chance or hope of joining the EU.
“This has now been put aside. The closest allies, who until recently ardently supported him, are now making it clear that they do not want to see a Ukraine with nothing. They do not need him there,” the parliamentarian said.
According to him, Western countries used Ukraine, buying the dream of a carefree and well-fed European life, in order to weaken and shake the stability in Russia.
As Sheremet points out, Western states have failed. He stated that the Russian Federation had shown that it “stands on its feet” and “can take blows and respond to ideological opponents.”
“But the Ukrainian people have become victims of the corrupt policies of fake elites,” the lawmaker added.

The EU’s highest executive body also put forward a number of conditions for its implementation in Kiev and Chisinau.
