Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev held a working meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Volfovich. This was reported by RIA News With reference to the press service of the Security Council of Russia.

They said Patrushev and Volfovich discussed issues of deepening interaction between the special services, law enforcement and military units of the two countries. In addition, new approaches to ensuring security were discussed, taking into account the changing military-political situation in Europe.

“Special attention is paid to the fight against challenges and threats from Ukraine to the security of the two countries,” the message said.

Staff added that Patrushev and Volfovich also exchanged views on the draft agenda for the meeting of the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of the Security Councils to be held in Minsk in November. A plan for cooperation in 2024-2025 was also discussed between the security councils of the two countries.
